Psychotherapy

Mental Health Uniquely Designed For You

Psychotherapy refers to a range of treatments that can help with mental health problems, emotional challenges, and some psychiatric disorders. It aims to enable patients, or clients, to understand their feelings, and what makes them feel positive, anxious, or depressed.

Art Therapy

Art Therapy uses the visual arts (drawing, painting, sculpture etc.) to help a person process thoughts and feelings, with or without using words. It is a Psychotherapy like talk; instead of using language we work with your creations to communicate and learn what is most important to you.

EMDR

EMDR is an evidence-based psychotherapy for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, but actually it isn't necessarily just about the eyes! It’s a therapy where you think about something that bothers you (like a traumatic memory or issue) and I as a therapist wave my hand in front of your eyes, back and forth. But we`ve found that we can get the same treatment effects with the headset and alternating beeps, or alternating taps on the hands. The eye movements, beeps or taps are a `back and forth` or bilateral stimulation of the brain (BLS). The idea is that traumatic memories sometimes get `stuck` in the information-processing system of the brain, along with the emotions and even the physical sensations that went with the original experience.
